Formed in 2003, Sacred Sorrow was a constant force in the Metro City music scene, that is until 2010 when Sacred Sorrow returned from their east coast tour and broke apart. The band carried on losing half the line-up but eventually died. Now after over a year the “Prelude to Betrayal” line-up of Sacred Sorrow has returned.
Re-energized by their reunited friendship and passion for music, Sacred Sorrow has risen with a new sense of aggression and intensity, writing a new setlist of songs that will forever change the band.

The first day of Autumn, 2011 marks their return at Faith Family Church.

4 years ago was 7-7-07, seems fitting that on 7-7-11 we bring you the news that Sacred Sorrow has officially ended. We thank you all for everything over all the years, the shows, the bands, the friends and fans, thank you all. You have all made an everlasting impact on us.

Sacred Sorrow has been invited to perform at Ohio Valley Wrestling’s HOMECOMING III!

Come join us for a night of Rock and Wrestling as some of the greatest wrestling superstars lock up for intense in-ring action and Sacred Sorrow brings the Rock ‘n’ Roll! Grab your pretzels and popcorn and get ready as OVW and Sacred Sorrow deliver you one heck of a slobber knocker!

We are working to make this website the flagship site for all your internet Sacred Sorrow needs. Facebook, Twitter, Online Store, myspace, shows.. all that jazz.

Hallowedfest was excellent, thank you to “The Dandy Lion” for helping us make that show great. Those lovely lady lions know how to rock n roll, and we were glad to team up with them! Go check out the hip place to be in New Albany at “The Dandy Lion” on Bank Street for all your local art, vintage and awesomeness needs.

Nathan’s Night was the best show of the year and we were honored to be among the great league of bands who played in his honor.

New music on the way.. I’ll be quiet about that now.

Expect many changes with this site as it becomes your one stop shop for Sacred Sorrow.

Our first show of 2011 will be with “30 Seconds to Mars” at Expo 5 in Louisville, KY on Jan 30th, so mark your calenders.
